Is a contract signed with XSigi legally valid?

Back to Help

XSigi produces legally binding digital signatures that comply with major electronic-signature laws including South Africa’s ECT Act, the US ESIGN Act, UETA, and the EU eIDAS framework.

When a document is signed using XSigi, the platform creates a cryptographic proof that includes:

  • A unique hash of the final document
  • The signer’s verified identity
  • The exact date and time
  • The signature algorithm used
  • A tamper-proof audit trail

These elements together ensure that:

  • The document cannot be altered without detection
  • The signer cannot deny having signed
  • Courts can independently verify the evidence

XSigi’s cryptographic sealing provides stronger proof than scanned PDFs or email confirmations.
